Thank you for your interest in Academy of the Canyons Middle College High School. AOC is a unique high school experience for students in the Santa Clarita Valley. We offer students in grades 9 - 12 the opportunity to complete high school graduation requirements while attending college.
AOC students are dual-enrolled in both college classes, offered at College of the Canyons, and high school classes, taught at AOC, which is located on site on the Valencia campus of College of the Canyons. Students are required to take a minimum of six college units each semester, as part of their curriculum, in addition to four high school classes.
In addition to the opportunity to earn college units, AOC offers high school students:
- A serious educational environment where students can take control of their own learning.
- A more flexible and smaller learning environment with opportunities to explore individual interests through a greater range of classes, within both the high school and college environments.
- A supportive environment in a close-knit community of teachers and students, where students have greater opportunities for guidance and personal improvement.
- Full access to all COC programs, including the COC Library, computer labs, gym, and tutoring centers.
- The occasion to develop successful skills for ongoing college study.
